Latest news – Motorola look to be getting out two way radios like they’re just sweets nowadays, the digital revolution has really given Motorola a new market and they’re, as customary, pushing the boundaries of the two-way communication marketplace. This modern 2 way radio the Motorola dp2400, is full fat digital and i have used it for the few weeks it is very related size to numerous other of the present two way radios, but included with different connection type. The shape is similar to other current radios, but we believe the purchase price will make a massive difference to small businesses and individuals, anyway here’s a very rare review of the 2 way radio.
A two way radio has to be in a position to work promptly and effectively. It has to be uncomplicated to work with, robustly designed and multi-faceted enough to appeal to a variety of users. Luckily, Motorola are very excellent at fulfilling these criteria. So, with that in mind, we put the Motorola dp2400 through its paces.
The clarity of digital audio is indisputable. But when you continue to prefer analogue, then don’t despair. The Dp2400 is totally at ease handling both analogue and digital frequencies.
But there’s much more it is able to do besides that.
The Motorola dp2400 can even use its ‘IP Site Connect’ function to open out the capability of the radio via the Internet. In addition, the ‘capacity plus’ function can use just one-site trunking system to enable over a thousand voice or data transfer-users without adding any new frequencies. It can even use an (optional) ‘linked capacity plus’ feature (a multi-site version of the ‘capacity plus’ function) that works in tandem using the IP functionality to make sure even broader fields of communication over bigger areas.
There’s even an enhanced security function.
The Motorola DP 2400 also comes in both VHF and UHF forms.
This is a reasonably priced, yet high spec, device. Recently there has been release of the DP3400, we can reasonably expect the purchase price to drop a bit more as well soon, but probably not by an implausible amount, as both models do seems to concentrate on slightly different areas.
Overall, it does seem like Motorola are offering an excellent radio-based product for your money, yet again.
The design is hardy and functional; this will be the type of walkie talkie a security guard or professional soldier might use. Its tough, square edged and no-nonsense, but it still looks modern and professional. On top of this, the Dp2400’s easy use makes the simplicity of that design a perfect marriage of model and operation.
As with most of Motorola’s radios, the Motorola dp2400 is a robust little doohickey. The bodywork is so tightly sealed, in reality, that it’s almost wholly dust and sand proof and has a water protection rating of IP55 (which means you can use it in the rain, but you probably can’t take it swimming).
The audio performance of this Dp2400 is nothing short of wonderful. It even adjusts the levels to compensate for background noise automatically, much like the iphone.
In reality, so high performance is this radio, that it essentially meets US military standard 810 C D E F and G.
The only negative we could find was that the design was somewhat bulky plus the battery was slightly heavy, however, the battery life is so good that we really don’t mind. Besides, it’s reassuring to be totally sure that you are not about to lose the walkie talkie (you’d soon notice if you ever dropped it).
As an optional extra, you will even get a function that may interrupt an existing signal to be able to deliver important information without waiting for a communication finish.
It actually does seem as if Motorola have considered everything for this walkie talkie. What we’ve got here is a 2 way radio that is pretty close to perfection. It appears to do everything you could probably want it to and, when ‘pimped out’ with all the optional extras, it will surely do a lot more besides.
There aren’t actually any downsides with this radio, it works particularly well, is pretty much top of the line in its price range and is bang up to date technologically. What more can you ask for?
